Indian People’s Forum In Early 2014, a group of motivated people driven by call to service got together to start an informal group called with the singular aim to support distressed Indians and undertook small activities to support those in need.

He Shri V. Muralidharan the Union Minister of State for External Affairs of India was done who lit the auspicious lamp & entered a goodwill message in the visitors book of the premises. This was followed by a glittering ceremony at Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel Under the patronage of H.H Dr Sheikh Majid bin Saeed Al Nuaimi. Chairman, Rulers court Ajman. HE Dr Aman Puri Consul General of India, Mr Vipul, the ex Consul General & currently the Joint Secy, Gulf in ministry of External affairs , New Delhi & Mr Lakshmananan Somasundaram accompanied the ministers delegation who were felicitated for their exemplary service to the Indian community.
 
The minister also released the Bye-laws of the IPF on the occasion that will set the guidelines for future initiatives by the sociocultural organization.
 
Indian People’s Forum has made its presence felt in all the 8 cities of emirates reaching out to and involving more & more of the community members who’ve come forward to not only participate in various cultural events to mark major festivals and national days of both India & UAE but also for wide range of community support activities under the patronage of Indian Consulate in Dubai & Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi. Indian People’s Forum volunteers have stood firmly shoulder to shoulder with the national and Indian authorities to help those in need. A long but not exhaustive list of activities includes Blood Donation camps, Yoga Day Events, Tree Plantation drives cultural events at all festivals, Educational & Awareness programs, Gandhiji’s 150th anniversary celebrations , Health Camps, food & financial support to those in need, repatriation of stranded Indians and not forgetting various games and fun activities to keep the smiles on the faces of hardworking brethren.
 
The COVID-19 Pandemic has affected the world dramatically and the Indian diaspora in UAE too has been touched. Indian People’s Forum volunteers have been at the forefront, working tirelessly in myriad ways to actively support those in distress and have offered a shoulder and a helping hand to all those in need irrespective of caste, creed & nationality. Working in tandem with the Indian Consulate & Embassy Indian People’s Forum volunteers have gone all out to supply rations, medicines, shelter, bedding & financial help along with manning helplines during the lockdown to provide direction & medical help. Once Vande Bharat Mission was announced by government of India, IPF volunteers worked tirelessly to help repatriate the needy with the Indian Consulate and the government officials arranging chartered flights to various states in India. IPF volunteers were available at a moment’s notice to the consulate and embassy officials to provide every possible kind of support to help the community.The timely action by the team to get the workers through their terminal formalities & get on flights home has been commendable. The IPF team stands firm in providing legal advice, financial & moral support in such distressing situations. The team has also offered its full support to the initiative by the Consul General of India to upskill the blue-collar workers so that they can face the future challenges with confidence & be better prepared.
 
2021 IPF enters into new era of more contribution and commitment to work towards society and nation.
